Button Press Commands

Start/Stop SP

  • One long press
  • Releasing when LED shows green/red

Trigger a cellular connection

  • Triple press of the button to send diagnostic info to EarthSense’s servers - use this for a short connection to update the symbols in MyAir

  • Four presses of the button to send measurement data. This may take a few minutes if there’s a lot of data for Zephyr to upload.

Trigger a WiFi connection

When the Zephyr is attempting to connect to a WiFi network, the LED will hold magenta.

  • Press 4 times and hold on the 4th press

  • Press 5 times and hold on the 5th press

Pause data uploads

  • Press 5 times and then the LED will flash with a green light
  • Data uploads will be paused completely until mode is disabled or Zephyr is plugged in, but Zephyr will continue sampling throughout.
  • This mode is especially useful for mobile monitoring on battery power.

Reset Zephyr

  • One long press until LEDs flash​
  • Disco sequence - this shows that the Zephyr has rebooted
